We made our last payment to Michaelis Corporation this week and have been in our house about a month now. This past year was at times super overwhelming and not anything I think we could have prepared for. However we are so happy to be back home, back in our routines and incredibly blessed that Michaelis Corporation was called for us while out of town when the fire happened. We ultimately went with them to assist with our long journey due to the compassion we felt immediately and their above and beyond customer service. Prior to making the official commitment with them they had an employee out to help dig our cars out for insurance purposes. Our contractor Dave was always available and allowed us to be hands on at all times! This was a difficult time but everyone involved made it so much easier. Originally everyone told us to expect to be out for a year and they had us back in within 9 months. While I hope no one ever needs their services as they mostly do restoration due to fire/water/mold damage, if you do they come HIGHLY recommended!

That included taking out the cemented in place steel door frame, re-cementing a new frame in place, installing the new crawl space entry, and taking time to going over details of the job with us and acquainting us with operation of the new entry door. Now that our world has finally settled down after a couple of very crazy months I want to let all my Indy friends and Realtors know my experience with Bart Fisher and Michaelis Corporation. I have NEVER worked with a company that was so responsive and jumped right in to help us out in a horrible situation. They bent over backwards to make our lives a bit easier. Most of you know that while looking for a home out of state due to a job transfer my husbands father passed away. We sold our home at the same time and we had an inspection issue that could have turned into a worse problem than we already had and we were in Florida. I reached out to Bart and while he was out of town he had Bill his boss follow up with me. Bill personally went to our home verified the problem was a bigger problem than we initially thought and he had his crew there the next day. They worked in our crawl space for 3 freezing cold days and got the job done. I can’t tell you how much we appreciated how much Bill and his crew did for us during such a horrible time! I will tell you that in 30 years in the Real Estate Industry and being on the Builders Association for years that I will recommend this company forever. So Realtors in Indy remember this post and if your clients need any major repairs in their homes please make sure to recommend Michaelis Corporation!

This company is absolutely amazing . We Were surprised by a basement flood on Sunday and within one hour James Porter had a crew out to our home to begin cleaning up. Each and every person that showed up was so kind so helpful and so professional. At the time of the flood we were not sure what kind of coverage we had for the incident as we weren’t sure what the cause was . We later found out that it was due to a failed sump pump. The coverage was $10,000 and there was far more damage in terms of cost them $10,000. James did everything he could to assist us and allow us to have a couple of our guys work with his crew to reduce some of the cost. The follow-up and the communication in addition to the consistent professionalism is something that most companies only dream of having. As a CEO of an organization, I am aware of the importance of leadership as I teach it on a regular basis. I was so impressed that I can honestly say I’m glad I had the opportunity to work with this company and meet the people associated with it. If you’re reading this review, I would encourage you to look at their website and if you ever have a need for any of the services that they offer, I would absolutely recommend them. I am a very tough sale and know exactly what good business is. This company is phenomenal. Thank you James and thank you Edward and Thanks to the rest of the team for a job well done. A water leak from our furnace humidifier flooded the utility room and extended into the two adjoining areas, a bathroom and the front door entry (all linoleum flooring) . We got the leak stopped and cleaned up all the water we could see. My concern was what about the wall plates of the adjoining area and the laminate flooring next to these areas. I contacted Michaelis and two other water damage restoration companies in our area. Within a few minutes of my call, I received a return call from James Porter. Within less than an hour James was at our house to perform an inspection. He was very thorough and explained at each part of the inspection what he was doing and the resulting readings. Fortunately the damage was minimal ; confined to a couple sections of baseboard for which fan drying was recommended. I contacted James later for some follow-up questions for which he quickly responded. I hope I never need the services of a restoration company in the future, but if I do I know Michaelis is who I will contact. I was very impressed with the promptness, professionalism, knowledge and friendliness of James as well as the receptionist her first took my call. I cannot say the same about my experience with the two other companies I contacted.

All jobs well done. Roofing shingles matched perfectly. Both roof leaks were found and repaired. Damaged ceiling section in family room was cut out, replaced , and the drywall was matched perfectly with the undamaged patterned ceiling. I did not have to paint this repair because it matched so well with rest of ceiling. I could not be more happier with these repairs and exterior painting. Well done. Excellent work.
