Water Damage

The installer arrived punctually, re-measured to make sure everything was correct, and work was done efficiently within 2 hours. That included taking out the cemented in place steel door frame, re-cementing a new frame in place, installing the new crawl space entry, and taking time to going over details of the job with us and acquainting us with operation of the new entry door. We couldn’t be more pleased with materials and work.

The staff were excellent and courteous. The estimator was very accurate about the potential cost of my project. I could have gotten it done a bit cheaper, but the professionalism, craftsmanship, timeliness, efficiency, and follow up made it worth the cost. Thank you!

A water leak from our furnace humidifier flooded the utility room and extended into the two adjoining areas, a bathroom and the front door entry (all linoleum flooring) . We got the leak stopped and cleaned up all the water we could see. My concern was what about the wall plates of the adjoining area and the laminate flooring next to these areas. I contacted Michaelis and two other water damage restoration companies in our area. Within a few minutes of my call, I received a return call from James Porter. Within less than an hour James was at our house to perform an inspection. He was very thorough and explained at each part of the inspection what he was doing and the resulting readings. Fortunately the damage was minimal ; confined to a couple sections of baseboard for which fan drying was recommended. I contacted James later for some follow-up questions for which he quickly responded. I hope I never need the services of a restoration company in the future, but if I do I know Michaelis is who I will contact. I was very impressed with the promptness, professionalism, knowledge and friendliness of James as well as the receptionist her first took my call. I cannot say the same about my experience with the two other companies I contacted.
